After 136 years in business, the Standard Rivet Company officially closed its doors in March 2025. Known for supplying the Western apparel and leathercraft industries, their rivets and nailheads were a staple in belts, holsters, and saddles for generations. The closure marks the end of a manufacturing era — but their legacy continues through Bling in the Ring, which now carries many of their iconic styles.

Founded in the late 1800s, Standard Rivet Company played a key role in shaping the golden age of Western dress. From cowboys to craftsmen, their rivets were trusted for durability, finish, and craftsmanship.

When the company announced its closure, it sent shockwaves through the leatherworking community. After over a century of continuous operation, their tools, inventory, and product lines would be gone — unless someone stepped in.

That’s where we came in. As longtime customers and admirers of Standard Rivet’s products, we at Bling in the Ring took action. We’ve since acquired a portion of their remaining inventory, preserved their sizing molds, and are now producing legacy rivets under our own line to ensure their styles remain available to leathercrafters worldwide.

The Standard Rivet Company may have closed, but their legacy lives on. We're proud to continue offering these classic Western embellishments — and we're just getting started.
